Ghana

Ghana was the first Africa nation in the region to gain independence from a colonial power. Ghana is English speaking and fairly easy travelling. We will need visas in advance, still need to investigate where is best to get them.

We would like to see
- Tamale - Base for exploring the North - careful of worms in feet
- Mole National Park - Elephants, Savannah
- Kumasi - was capital of the Ashanti kingdom, mixed cultures, large market
- Tarkwa - mining town
- Takoradi - Busua & Dixcove - Fishing villages, Fort Metal Cross, Fort Batenstein
- Castle of Cape Coast - last port for slave trade, beaches, fishing villages
- Kakum National Park - rope bridges, canopy walkway
- Kokrobite - fishing village
- Accra - commercial and cultural capital - we will get Togo, Benin and Nigeria visa here. Nigerian visa is difficult
