Burkina Faso

Burkina Faso is hardly known, but has many interesting sights. It is stable. We will need visas in advance but there is not much info on where to get them - probably Bamako in Mali on our way through.

Places to see are:
- Benena (Mali) Border
- Bobo-Dioulasso - 2nd largest city, roam around Kibidwe, grand mud and stick mosque, small town charm, tree lined streets
- Sindou - strange rock formations
- Banfora - green countryside, Banfora Cascades
- Gaoua - Lobi culture, market, boites (informal nightclubs), can hire a scooter to get around town
- Parc National des Deux Bales - near Boromo
- Ouagadougou (Ouaga) - Capital, film festival (FESPACO), Bangre-Weoogo park
- Tiebele - funky huts although the road between Ouagadougou and Po is dangerous - we will ask for more info before we go this route
- Paga (Ghana) Border

This area is to be avoided
- Gorom-Gorom - massive market
