The Congo-Brazzaville (not to be confused with the DRC) is considered much safer than the DRC. Famous for its lowland gorillas and wild chimpanzees as well as dense forests.

- Brazzaville - relaxed French style capital on the Congo river

- Odzala Nature Reserve (possibly) - massive, but little known - unique tropical forest ecosystem
Places to avoid are the Pool region, Ubangi River border with DRC and the road from Brazzaville to Point Noire (Atlantic port).
